Jay Sengupta is an experienced mediator, investigator and adjudicator
who has dealt with hundreds of cases involving human rights,
employment, education, child welfare, disability, mental health and professional regulation issues.
Jay is pleased to offer her services mediating and investigating human rights, workplace
and education matters in a fair, sensitive and effective way.
Jay is currently conducting hearings, investigations
and mediations both by videoconference and in person.

WORKPLACE MEDIATIONS & INVESTIGATIONSJay has successfully mediated numerous workplace disputes and has experience conducting investigations that are procedurally fair. As a member of the CAF roster, Jay has specialized training and particular expertise dealing with sexual harassment and sexual violence cases.

HUMAN RIGHTSAs a former Vice-Chair of the HRTO, and current member of the Northwest Territories Human Rights Adjudication Panel, Jay has significant experience and expertise in all aspects of human rights law. Jay has mediated and adjudicated hundreds of human rights complaints alleging discrimination and harassment with respect to employment and services. |
EDUCATION SECTOR
Jay has extensive experience in the education sector. As an adjudicator, Jay dealt with expulsion appeals under the Education Act. Jay has experience working with children, youth and families in the child welfare, mental health and incarceration systems. |
